Late Night Goal Patrol: Bergkamp Dazzles

It’s just too easy to get lost in a YouTube goal-fest. Here’s a good one for old times sake, from the Dutch master himself. I was at a coaching clinic a few years ago that highlighted the role of the “shadow striker.” Bergkamp was the case in point, though mind you the clinicians were Dutch. No less, for anyone who wants to score buckets of goals and assist on even more as a withdrawn striker, Bergkamp is the guy to watch. Observe Exhibit A: Other than the obvious, outrageous first touch, note where he starts his run.
